Last day to cast online vote for Lands Council

This is the last day to cast your online vote in the Tom’s of Maine “50 States for Good” contest, in which The Lands Council of Spokane is a finalist. The Lands Council earned a spot on the finalist list with its Reforest Spokane Day, an effort to bring together more than 500 volunteers to plant 10,000 native Ponderosa Pine trees across Washington’s second-largest city in a single day. Tom’s of Maine, a natural products company, will donate $150,000 to six of the 20 finalists, with one group getting $50,000 and five others divvying up the remainder. Winners will be announced by Oct. 11.
