Cougar Crest Winery opens new tasting room

Cougar Crest Estate Winery has a new Spokane tasting room.

The tasting room, 8 N. Post St., Suite 6, will serve all of Cougar Crest’s wines. Tastings, wine flights and wines by the glass will be available during regular hours, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

There will be extended hours during the First Friday events in downtown Spokane.

“This new location, in the heart of Spokane, will bring our winery into the daily lives of the people who have shown us their whole-hearted support for the last 10 years,” said owner and winemaker Deborah Hansen in a news release.

Hansen, who was raised and educated in Spokane, said in the release that she and her husband, Dave, have been waiting for an opportunity to expand the reach of their Walla Walla winery into the Spokane market for more than a year.

Reach the tasting room and manager Samuel Crosby at (509) 241-3850. There is more information about the winery online at www.cougarcrestwinery.com.
