Condon has business chops

I don’t think anyone would disagree that the Spokane economy (or any, for that matter) needs strong businesses in order to maintain – and grow – our vibrant community. We need to recruit new companies, keep our existing businesses vital and create jobs.

City economies don’t survive without successful businesses, plain and simple. David Condon understands this. He’s smart, savvy and has a business background that will serve him well in the mayor’s office. Trained in finance, he was president of the honors program at Boston College and earned the President’s Award for Leadership. He has legitimate business experience and isn’t just a Washington, D.C., political staffer, as some like to say: from selling Christmas trees at age 9 in a local parking lot to launching a successful coffee company with his brother while in college, he’s had his hand in business.

He’s run numerous family businesses, including a dental practice, a Christmas tree business and real estate holdings. David recognizes and will ensure that our city government works to serve its citizens, acting like a business by living within its means and being responsible with its spending.
