Shame on Republicans

I am sick and tired of watching our good money being sucked down the rat hole of Afghanistan at the rate of $2 billion a week, while Republicans demand that we can’t afford to rescue our own people from the latest storm. War is just another way of saying “breaking stuff and killing people.” Enough already!

When the economy gets going again, and it will, then is the time to take the drastic steps to retire the debt. It will not be overwhelming, just as it was not overwhelming after World War II when the debt was worse as a proportion of the economy.

This talk about national debt and being broke is about tying the president’s hands so he can’t fix the economy. The way to get jobs is to get the economy going again, but that might get the president re-elected, so that must be avoided at all costs. The Republicans, including our own congresswoman, put party over country, and that just might cause the country serious harm.

Shame on the Republicans!
