Cooler temperatures hold on for weekend

Cooler weather today should continue through the weekend with a chance of rain arriving on Sunday.

Highs today may reach the lower 70s under sunny skies.

Temperatures could drop a few more degrees to the lower 60s on Saturday before a slow rebound begins on Sunday.

A weather disturbance on Sunday will bring a 30 percent chance of showers.

Another shot of summer warmth is possible next week.

The storm track is likely to lift north of the region and allow temperatures to go back to the 80s by Wednesday.

Low temperatures should run from the middle 40s to lower 50s.

The high on Thursday was 68. The average temperature for today is 73.

At 7 a.m., it was 46 at Spokane International Airport, 50 at Felts Field, 45 in Coeur d’Alene and 39 in Deer Park.
