It’s Rally Day Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will launch its fall schedule with a Rally Day celebration on Sunday.

The new schedule includes Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. and a worship service at 10:30 a.m. This week there will be a potluck barbecue after the service. The church will provide beverages, hot dogs, buns, condiments and dessert. Those attending are asked to bring a salad to share.

The church is at 2511 S. Pines Road.

Guest speaker

The Rev. Ian Robertson will be a guest speaker at the 9 a.m. worship service Sunday at Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N. Raymond Road. Robertson is a former senior pastor at Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene and is a co-founder of ChangePoint, an organization that serves low income residents.

Mobile food bank

A Second Harvest mobile food bank truck will be at Advent Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. All who need food are welcome. The event does not count as the one monthly food bank visit families are allowed and no paperwork is required.
