The Eastern Washington University Athletic Department is encouraging fans to arrive early for football games this fall at Roos Field in Cheney because of increased season-ticket sales and a sold-out tailgating parking lot.
The Eagles expect large crowds for their four home games, beginning with Saturday’s game against Montana State.
EWU’s upper parking lot (P12) behind the stadium is sold out and will not be available for public parking.
The general public will be directed to lots south of the stadium. Fans driving to Cheney from Interstate 90 are encouraged to continue through town and use Washington Street as an access point, instead of Betz Road.
A shuttle will be utilized along Washington Street to assist those fans who have difficulties walking to the stadium. An alternate access road off I-90 is the Salnave exit.
