Warmer weather headed this way

Temperatures will run into the middle 70s this afternoon, but the forecast for later this week calls for highs in the 80s and maybe even lower 90s. Higher air pressure has moved over the Inland Northwest bringing bright blue skies and warmer conditions. A potent rains storm is stalled off the Pacific coast with moisture circulating into British Columbia and Alaska. With fair weather here, today’s high should reach 75 under blue skies and light winds. Each of the next several days should see temperatures rise by several degrees so that Thursday and Friday are in the 80s and Saturday may make the lower 90s. Monday’s high was 73 in Spokane. At 7 a.m., it was 45 at Spokane International Airport, 42 at Felts Field, 43 in Coeur d’Alene and 45 in Deer Park.
