A few more warm days, with cooler weather on way

Although today is the final day of summer, a few more days of summer-like weather will follow. The National Weather Service forecast for Spokane is calling for a high of 83 today, 84 on Friday and 91 on Saturday. Then it will cool off a little, to 79 on Sunday, 72 Monday and 71 Tuesday. The weather service also anticipates wetter weather next week: a 30 percent chance of showers Sunday and a 20 percent chance of rain Monday. The outlook is similar in Kootenai County, though forecasters say it could reach 93 in Coeur d’Alene on Saturday.
