Why change leadership?

I’m voting for Mary Verner because for the first time in what seems like decades, under her leadership, the controversies that have plagued our mayor’s office are gone. No unnecessary and expensive roof-top gardens at City Hall, no questionable ethical conduct, no arguments over parking garages.

She has built a team that’s managed matters with great competence, despite facing huge financial hurdles. There’s an atmosphere of respect, all ideas are welcome and she’s kept things moving forward in one of the most challenging economies our community has faced.

I suspect Mayor Verner would be the last person to take all the credit, but the fact is we’d be crazy to change leadership when things are working well.
