Boulevard is homely

Driving into Spokane on Country Homes Boulevard the other day brought back some great memories for me. You see, I’ve had the great opportunity to travel to many Third World countries to help the locals, and the way Spokane County keeps that area looking like an open sewer makes me think of all we accomplished.

The mud and weeds at the bottom of the drainage are particularly pleasing to the eyes, and being a one-lane road makes it all the easier to view. Maybe the homeowners in that area like to keep it that way so they can think they live in a country setting. But I’m glad that visitors may be discouraged from coming any farther into the city, as too many would spoil things for us.
