Wield your vote wisely

Labor Day is history in River City. Summer fades. We get ready for elections. Candidates enter races to be winners. Do we citizens know and/or care enough to be voters in November, for those who would represent us?

I vote for candidates who share my views. Tea party issues are not my issues as I say treat all as I would ask to be treated. And, I like an economy driven by what we produce, not spend, or don’t spend. I hope we are intelligent and informed voters. That said, I am upset with the lack of local news coverage. How are voters to learn candidates’ thinking?

I will vote, and I hope you do, even if your vote is opposite mine. We live in a republic and pass “people power” to elected representatives. We have local, state and national races. If you do vote, you share your power.
