Westbound I-90 moving again near Freya

A multiple-vehicle collision in the left-hand westbound lane of Interstate 90 near the Freya Street exit backed up traffic for more than a mile during rush hour this morning. That accident just east of Freya was cleared up by about 9 a.m., and traffic is moving freely again. After the accident, traffic was restricted to one lane at the accident scene. Traffic was funneled into the right-hand lane to get around the accident. The backup extended to at least Park Road at 8:30 a.m. Traffic has been slow through the area this afternoon. A maintenance crew is clearing foliage from along the shoulder just before the westbound Freya exit, and traffic has been funneled into two lanes.
