Age 79

BEECHING, Thomas

Thomas Allen Beeching was born on October 12, 1932 to Frank and Dixie (Boyles) Beeching in Akron Ohio.

He died peacefully at the Hospice house of Spokane on March 18, 2012.

Tom grew up in Toledo, Ohio and joined the Air Force right after high school.

He married his wife of 40 years, Shirley (Hemmerley) in 1956, and lived in Spokane until 1964.

They moved back to Toledo to be closer to family, but Tom’s love for Spokane brought them back to the area in 1976.

He worked for various companies doing floor covering until he ended his career working at ISC Systems Corp for 10 years in the early nineties.

Tom loved old cars, blue grass music and mostly his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, “Shirl” and his sister, Dixie Bishop.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Beeching of Toledo, Ohio; daughter, Kelly Mehrens, (Russell); sons, Scott (Kimey) Beeching, Drew (J’mi) Beeching, and Cody Beeching all of Spokane; his 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He also had a special place in his heart for his long time companion Ruth Loran.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Elks Lodge in the Spokane Valley on Friday, April 6, at 5:00 PM.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice House of Spokane.
