Obituary: Malakowsky, Rosemary L. “Jean”

Age 85

MALAKOWSKY, Rosemary L.
“Jean”
(Age 85)

Passed away peacefully on March 22, 2012, in Spokane, WA.

Jean was born July 28, 1926, to William E. and Mary E. Kail, in Hertford, England.

She traveled to the U.S. from England in 1942.

Docking at Ellis Island, she traveled west, living in Nampa, Riggins, and Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and then moved to Newman Lake in 1964.

She lived in Otis Orchards the last 35 years.

Jean was an avid seamstress, loved gardening, and her animals.

Jean adored her family get-togethers, with her much loved daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She also very much enjoyed home canning and her home always smelled of fresh baked bread.

As a member of Friends of Seven KSPS and St. Jude Children’s Hospital, she always gave from the heart and her door was always open.

She was a much loved, gentle soul who will be surely missed by family and friends alike.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Sandy Malakowsky of Tacoma, WA, Teresa (Raul) Gonzalez of Otis Orchards, WA, Nannette (Dennis) Semb of Mead, WA; sisters, Audrey King and Doris Medcalf, and brother, Phillip Kail, all of Hertford, England; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Malakowsky; and daughter, Lynnda Butler.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 6, 2012, at 12:00 noon, at St. Joseph Cemetery chapel, 17825 E. Trent Ave., Spokane Valley, WA.
