TRAXLER, Robert N.
Passed away peacefully at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA on March 13, 2012 after battling a long term illness; he was surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on October 1, 1936 in San Diego, CA. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958, and then returned to San Diego. He worked for several years at General Dynamics while starting his family and was married to Kay F. McIntyre (Stevenson) for 35 years, prior to their divorce in 1992. Robert later worked as a long-haul truck driver and in the construction field. In 2008 he moved to Spokane, WA to live closer to his four daughters. He will always be remembered for his huge heart, his devotion and love for his family, and his unique and quirky personality; and will be greatly missed.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Eula Traxler, a nephew, Mark Bringas, and a great-granddaughter, Emerie Caler. He is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Jed) Dawson of Wickenburg, AZ, Roxanne (Marlon) del Rosario, Denise Solberg, and Serena Caler all of Spokane, WA, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, a sister, Nedra (Manuel) Bringas, one niece and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
