Big ratings for women’s NCAA championship game
The NCAA women’s basketball championship game drew its highest television rating since 2004. Undefeated Baylor’s 80-61 victory over Notre Dame on Tuesday night on ESPN earned a 3.2 rating. That’s up 14 percent from last season’s Texas A&M-Notre Dame matchup. It was the best rating since a 4.3 for Connecticut’s 70-61 win over Tennessee eight years ago.
