4th suspect ID’d in Whitman County murder

A fourth suspect has been identified in connection with the murder of a Rosalia man whose body was found bound in a north Whitman County lake. Whitman County Sheriff’s Office authorities believe Eli J. Lindsey, 36, of Washtucna, Wash., helped suspects Frank and Daniel Lazcano of cover-up their murder of Marcus Schur. According to a Whitman County press release, investigators believe Lindsey helped the Lazcanos dispose of evidence the night of the murder and then lied to law enforcement. Schur is believed to have been killed the night of Dec. 27. His body was found in Bonnie Lake in late March. Investigators are currently working with Lindsey’s attorney to arrange for a time when he can surrender to authorities. Lindsey is expected to face charges of rendering criminal assistance and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
