Passed away April 5, 2012 at his home in Spokane Valley, WA.

He was born April 22, 1935 in Denver, CO to Emmett and Marion Foley.

During his senior year of high school, Emmett enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

He served with the Seabees in Korea and retired after 21 years.

Emmett married Joann Raunig and they have spent the last 39 years together.

He worked for Gunning Builders for about 25 years and afterwards worked on many projects around town as a general contractor before retiring.

Emmett enjoyed traveling and woodworking and was a Boy Scout Scoutmaster.

He was a favorite of the neighborhood children and a great caretaker.

Emmett also loved time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Foley of Spokane Valley; daughters, Tamara Foley of New York and Shelly Collinson of Gold Bar, WA; sister, Joanne (Marv) Carver of Newman Lake, WA; three granddaughters, Jessica Norfleet, Kerrie Collinson and Amanda Brown; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Emmett was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Timothy Foley and David Mapston; sister, Susie Smith and two brothers, Ray and Bob Foley.

At Emmett’s request no services will be held.
