Obituary: Schur, Marcus Allen

Age 23

Marcus Allen

In loving memory of Marcus Allen Schur. Born June 1st, 1988, Marcus was a victim of a brutal crime committed 12-27-2011. Praying for answers, Marcus’s body was discovered in Whitman County, March 2012. Marcus’s free spirited life was taken from us at the young age of 23. Marcus was the oldest son of Grace Schur and Jerry Farrari. Marcus was a loving brother, surviving siblings include Michelle Hoyt, Crys Schur, and David Schur. Marcus may have gone Home too soon, however he left behind powerful memories of unconditional love and devotion to the pure meaning of family and friendship to all whom were blessed to have known him. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Marcus took pride and joy in mechanics, building, framing and creating works of art. Smart, kind-hearted, strong willed, and self-motivated were just a few amazing qualities Marcus will always be remembered for. He always had a way with making someone smile and feel important, no matter the situation. We gather to remember this fallen angel on Friday, April 13th, 2012. Marcus will be laid to rest in Rosalia, Washington at the Evergreen Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Following the grave site will be a memorial service located at the United Methodist Church, located at 207 S. Whitman Avenue, Rosalia Washington at 2:00 pm. As we gather to remember such a beautiful life, the Schur family would personally like to invite the community to stand together in a potluck following the service to unite and celebrate Marcus Allen Schur and the value of family! To keep Marcus voice alive and fight against hate crimes, donations can be made at Bank of Fairfield under the Marcus Schur Memorial Fund. On-line guest book is at
