Age 83


ALLISON,
Elsie B.

Elsie went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2012 with her family at her side in Spokane, WA.

Elsie was born on October 28, 1928, in Minot, ND.

Elsie married the love of her life Harold on August 27, 1949 in Madison, WI.

Shortly after their marriage they moved to Morton, WA.

In 1950 Elsie and her family moved to Spokane, WA.

Elsie worked for The Crescent department store for many years then moved on to Stagers Grocery as a bookkeeper for several years.

She moved on to Low Cost Grocery as a checker and bookkeeper until the store closed.

During this time Elsie was a member then became President of the Spokane Fish Club.

She was a member of New Life Assembly Church in the Valley where she dedicated her life to Christ.

Mom went back to school after dad passed away to earn her Associate in Applied Science, Human Services - Social Service Paraprofessional as well as Human Services - Gerontology.

Mom graduated June 13, 1988.

Mom, we are so proud of your accomplishments.

Mom worked with the elderly for about nine years before her eyesight got bad; by 2000 she was showing signs of Alzheimer’s.

She was preceded in death by her brother Chester February 28, 1934, father Walter on December 17, 1948, mother Bertha on January 7, 1950, husband Harold on April 30, 1983, sister Pearl April 4, 1983 and nephew Larry E. February 8, 2011.

She is survived by a sister, Gladys Fisher of Spokane, WA; three daughters, Dottie (Dorothy) Dennis, (Lewis) Spokane, WA; Joanne Flanagan (Jerry) Stacy, MN; Patti Peterson (Dennis) North Branch, MN; three sons, Chester W. Allison (JoAnn) Spokane, WA; Kent E. Allison, MN and Roger L. Allison, MN, 16 Grandchildren; Trenya Erickson (Steve); Troy Allison, Ty Allison, Tina Evans (Russ), Rochelle Norman (Randy) all of Spokane, WA, Brenda and Cindy Leigh, Dawn, Anita, Sherry, Yvonne, and Quinton Allison, Curtis, Ricky and Craig Flanagan all of MN, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

We want to thank the nurses and aides on the West Unit at Avalon Care Center in Spokane for the love and care they showed mom.

DD wants to give a special thank you to her friends Rhonda S., Tara S., Margene D. and Heidi B.

Mom we miss and “WE LOVE YOU A BUSHEL AND A PECK AND A HUG AROUND THE NECK”.

A private graveside service will be held Friday, April 13 at 2:00 pm.

at Fairmount.

A memorial service will be held at Minnehaha Covenant Church at 4005 E. Marietta, Spokane, WA 99217 at 2:00 PM.
