Rand entered into rest on March 23, 2012, at his home in Tacoma, WA.
He was born in Spokane on August 13, 1952, the son of Charles Don and Elaine Maurer.
Rand is the father of Andy of Tacoma and the brother and brother-in-law of Steve and Ellen (Taylor) Maurer of Williamsburg, VA, and his parents of Deer Park.
There are many other relatives and friends.
Rand graduated from Mead High School, Class of 1970 and graduated from Western Washington State College at Bellingham, WA in Music.
He has been currently employed as a district manager for Subway stores in the Tacoma area.
A Celebration of Rand’s life will be in Deer Park at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Open Door Congregational Church, North 205 Main Street, with Rev.
Dr. Daniel N. Berg delivering the memoriam.
A reception will follow the services in the church’s social hall.
