GUSTAFSON, Ethel Louise

She passed on March 22, 2012.

She was born on November 15, 1915 in Wallace, ID to Charles and Emma Boline.
She went to Jefferson and Grant elementary schools and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1934.

She married Carl Gustafson in 1941.
She worked in offices in Spokane, which included Interstate Telephone Company, Far West Insurance Agency and Trinity Universal Insurance Company.
She belonged to Messiah Lutheran Church, Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary and the Deaconess Hospital Auxiliary.

She was a former member of the Post Office Women’s Auxiliary, Spokane Insurance Women, and Secretary of Lutheran Brotherhood’s local chapter.
Ethel enjoyed traveling, being at the Priest Lake family cabin, cooking and baking, arts and crafts, and she was a cherished aunt to her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gustafson in 1973, her sister Sarah Burman in 1998, and her niece Patricia Lynn Burns Ratoza in 2001.
Survived by sister Dorothy Burns, Portland, OR; nieces Carole Herrlinger, Spokane, WA and Susan Haworth, Whidbey Island, WA; nephews Dr. David Olson, Golden, CO and Richard Burns, Upper Lake, CA and several grandnieces and nephews.
She lived at Riverview Terrace since 1999.

The family wants to thank the staff at Riverview Terrace and Care Center for her excellent care.
Memorial gifts to Messiah Lutheran Church, the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary or the Riverview Care Center.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, April 21st at Riverview Terrace Chapel at 10:30 a.m.
