Seahawks announce 2012 schedule
NFL: The Seattle Seahawks will have a national television audience for their two prime-time games in 2012, including a home game against Green Bay on Monday night in Week 3.
Seattle will have an international stage, however, for its December game against Buffalo, which will be played in Toronto.
Those are just some of the highlights from Seattle’s schedule, which was announced Tuesday.
Seattle’s season starts on the road Sept. 9 in Arizona. The Seahawks’ home schedule includes Green Bay on Sept. 24, New England on Oct. 14 and San Francisco on Dec. 23.

Tennis: Pannhara Mam, a former men’s tennis standout at Eastern Washington University, has been given the opportunity of a lifetime.
Three years after wrapping up his collegiate career at EWU, Mam was invited to participate in tennis’ most prestigious international team competition. Mam will represent Cambodia in the country’s Davis Cup debut, which begins this week in Doha, Qatar.
Gonzaga’s Few added to staff
Men’s basketball: Gonzaga University coach Mark Few is among the coaches who will form the USA Basketball staff for the 2012 FIBA Americas U18 Championship this summer.
The University of Florida’s Billy Donovan is the head coach with Few and Shaka Smart of Virginia Commonwealth University joining the staff as assistants.
