Obituary: Pratt, Douglas Brian

PRATT,
Douglas Brian

Doug was born on his dad’s birthday on September 9, 1959 on the family farm at Rockford, Washington.

He was born in the same house in which his dad and his grandfather had been born.

He loved everything about the farm, and was doing what he loved on the day a heart attack ended his life.

Doug moved with his family from Rockford to a farm near Tekoa, WA when he was in the fourth grade.

He loved sports, Boy Scouts, and his many friends.

He attended college at Washington State University for two years and then returned to the farm at Rockford where he was born.

His brother David, who was two years older than Doug, preceded him in death in 1971.

He leaves this three beautiful daughters - Jami who is 15, Marley who is 13 and Staci, who is 10, and their mother Denise.

His mother and dad, Milton and Shirley Pratt of Rockford, also survive him, as do his brother Rick (Diane) and family of Richland, and his sister, Diane (Dennis) Solbrack and family of Colfax.

The families include his seven nephews and nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Cemetery in Rockford in his memory.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 at the Rockford United Methodist Church.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford.
