Alice Imogene

Filled with love, Alice passed on to Heaven on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at age 91.

Alice was born on January 8, 1921 in Spokane, WA to James Henry Patrick Gordon and Imogene Pearl Ruth Gordon, she was one of 5 Gordon sisters.

She attended Marycliff High School and Rogers High School, where she graduated in 1937 at the age of 16.

During her long career, she attended Spokane Community College where she took business courses.

Alice is known to many as the “beautiful cosmetics lady at the Crescent”.

She began her career at the Downtown Crescent store and was honored to open the cosmetics department when Northtown Mall opened.

The family is always hearing fondly-told stories from strangers of how Alice “taught me how to put on makeup”.

She will always be remembered as loving, generous, and willing to fight for what she believed in.

During WWII, Alice married Bill Wallace and worked with military transport in Texas.

After the war she married Faye McEvers and had two children Dan and Charlotte.

Alice married Joe Stan in 1969 for 25 years of bliss before his death.

She was briefly married to John Panessa.

In 1997, Alice married William (Bill) BouchĂŠr and is survived by Bill; children Daniel Ray McEvers, Charlotte Stan Mullen, and Sandra Stan McGetrick; along with many beloved extended family members.

A mass will be held at:
St.

Thomas More Catholic Church 505 W. Saint Thomas More Way, Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:00am, followed by graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery and reception back at St Thomas More.
