Lloyd was born October 6, 1927 in St. John, WA to Eva Lee and John Jacob Wagner.

He passed away peacefully on April 11, 2012 in Spokane.

Lloyd’s family moved to Post Falls, ID in 1932 where he attended school until he joined the Navy in 1944.

When Lloyd was discharged from the Navy, he returned to Post Falls to finish high school.

He graduated in 1947.

Lloyd married Mary Belle Williams in 1948, together they had six children.

After attending trade school in 1949, Lloyd began an apprenticeship with the Spokesman-Review as a linotype operator.

During the 42 1/2 years he worked at the Spokesman-Review, Lloyd held numerous positions, including Composing Room Supervisor.

He retired as the Mail Room Superintendent.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his infant son, John Jacob, his father Jake Wagner, his mother Eva Wagner, and his two sisters Shirley White and Lura Newby.

Lloyd was loved and respected by the entire family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Belle; his five children, Renee Stern (Rick), Darcy Wagner, Stuart Wagner (Pat), Brian Wagner (Malinda), Aaron Wagner (Diane); 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial service will be held later this month.
