WILKES, Golda “Goldie” (Conrad)
Passed away on April 7, 2012 in Tacoma, WA.
Goldie was born to James and Golda Conrad on her grandparents’ homestead near Ferdinand, ID on May 31, 1930.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Charlottie Martin, sister Dona, and brothers Ed, Vern, and Jim.
Goldie spent most of her adult life in Spokane where she worked as a receptionist for the State for 15 years.
After suffering a stroke three and a half years ago she moved in with her daughter Dona (Mic) McDaniels at Enumclaw.
She attended the Grace Community Church in Auburn and was a member of the Red Hat Society and very active in projects at the Enumclaw Senior Center.
She is survived by her daughter Dona (Mic) McDaniels of Enumclaw and son Eugene Wilkes of Spokane; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great- great- grandchild; and brother Bob Conrad of Spokane.
A memorial service was held on April 19 at the Senior Center of Enumclaw.
