Passed away on April 21, 2012 in Spokane, WA at the age of 83.

Stan was born May 20, 1928 at home in Cheney, WA to Homer and Mary Kate Pierce.

He grad-uated from Cheney High School with the Class of 1946.

Stan attended Eastern Washington University for two years and it was there that he met his wife, Norma Wegner.

They were married November 25, 1949 in Reardan, WA.

Stan graduated from WSU in 1951 and worked for 20 years at Cheney Owl Pharmacy as a pharmacist.

He worked an additional 20 years for the State of Washington at Lakeland Village as a hospital pharmacist.

In retirement, Stan enjoyed golf, fishing, genealogy, and wood working.

He was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Spokane.

He also loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

Stan is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Norma, and three children; Bob Pierce of Spokane, WA, Jan West (Rick) of Bellevue, WA and Mark Pierce (Jonnelle) of Spokane, WA.

Stan is also survived by grandchildren Austan Pierce of Arlington, TX, Becca West of Corvallis, OR, Kendra Pierce of Spokane, WA and his brother, Max Pierce of Spokane, WA.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, at Spokane Memorial Gardens followed by a memorial service at Central Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Online guestbook at cheneyfuneral.com.
