‘Blithe Spirit’ stage comedy starts May 4 in Cheney

StageWest Community Theatre will perform “Blithe Spirit,” beginning May 4 at 7 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 639 Elm St., in Cheney.

The comedy is about an author who would like to write a murder mystery about a murderous medium. The medium brings back the author’s deceased wife, but the author is the only person who can see his dead wife; this drives the author’s current wife crazy.

Other performance dates include May 5, May 11-12 and May 18-19 at 7 p.m. Sunday shows will be May 6 and May 13 at 3 p.m.
