Dow AgroSciences agreed to pay the city of Spokane $23,000 to settle a lawsuit related to clopyralid, an herbicide that the city argued caused so many problems in compost that it was forced to close its city-run compost operation. The city had agreed to keep the settlement confidential, but released it this week in response to a public records request from The Spokesman-Review.
