Holmvquist’s record round has her tied for Pac-12 lead

 (S-R)
PULLMAN – Just one player managed to shoot under par on the first day of the Pac-12 women’s golf championships at Palouse Ridge Golf Club. But on the second day, California’s Daniela Holmvqist set the Palouse Ridge women’s collegiate single-round record by shooting a 4-under 68, good enough to tie her with Arizona State’s Giulia Molinaro for the lead at 1 over heading into Sunday’s final round. Molinaro, who was the only player to shoot under-par on Friday (-1), carded a 2-over 74 on Saturday. Holmvqist’s performance helped vault Cal into the team lead at 13 over. Colorado is three strokes back at 16 over. ASU, which led after Friday’s round, fell to fifth place at 21 over. Emma Betland of Washington State is still in contention after firing a 1-over 73 on Saturday. She’s tied for seventh at 4 over for the weekend. WSU is tied with Washington in ninth place at 33 over.
