Lake Coeur d’Alene reaches flood stage

The Coeur d’Alene River and Lake Coeur d’Alene are at flood stage, resulting in a no wake zone. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department is asking the boating public to be aware of the current water levels and obey the no wake restrictions during the weekend and into next week. The Coeur d’Alene River is expected to fall below flood stage on Saturday night and Lake Coeur d’Alene likely won’t fall below flood stage until Thursday. Once the water levels fall below flood stage, the no wake restrictions will be lifted. For more information, call the sheriff’s Recreation Safety Section at 208-446-2250 or 208-446-1300.
