Barbara Jean Wagner Barton passed away from natural causes on April 22, 2012 — one day after her 91st birthday.

Born in 1921 to Roy and Bertha Wagner, Barbara spent her child-hood in Spokane and attended college at Eastern Washington University.

She spent time working as an elementary teacher, a perfect fit for her caring, patient and giving character.

Barbara married Jack Barton in 1944.

Together they owned and operated Pullman Printers near Washington State University.

In her later years, after moving to western Washington, Barbara became involved PEO and CFW at Sumner Christian Church and spent regular time volunteering at her local food bank.

Barbara’s hobbies also included playing bridge, reading, gardening and quilting.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her son John.

She is survived by her sister Molly Clark, daughter Meri Ninteman and grandchildren Peter and Sara Ninteman.

A memorial service will be held at Sumner Christian Church.
