McCOLLOUGH, Mildred “Millie” Louise
With sadness and great sorrow we bid farewell to Mildred “Millie” Louise McCollough, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. Our Lord called her home on April 26, 2012. Millie was born on June 3, 1938, to Lavelle and Jim Swayze, in Ryderwood, WA. Millie met and married the one and only love of her life, a young airman stationed at Fairchild Air Force base, Joseph Allen McCollough II. Millie was an active member of the Greenacres Baptist Church and especially enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus with the children. She loved her church family dearly and will be missed by all whose lives she touched in such a tender way. Millie was preceded in death by her baby son, George, who returned to heaven a very short time after his birth. She leaves behind her one true love, Joe; daughter, Allyn and her husband, Keith; her son, Joe and his fiancĂŠe, Dawn; grand- children, Nathan and Allyson, and Dawn’s daughters, Kayla and Connie; siblings, Jim Cooper, Gilbert Cooper, Tom Cooper, Wesley Cooper, Lanore Rafferty, Georgetta Howard, and Barbara Murray.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 1st from 4-8pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel at 1400 S. Pines, Spokane Valley, WA. A Memorial service will be held May 2nd, at 10:00am at Greenacres Baptist Church 18620 East Sprague Avenue, Spokane Valley, WA. A family graveside service will commence at 3:30pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace in Spokane, WA.
