Passed away at home with her family on April 20, 2012.
Jean was born into the family of Esther (Oslund) Rogers and John Rogers on July 1, 1922 in Amber, WA.
Jean was one of five children, which included Howard Rogers who passed away at the age of five from appendicitis, Paul Rogers, Maxine Becker and Robert Rogers.
She spent her early years in Amber and Cheney and later in Spokane.
She married John Oster in September of 1941.
John passed away in February of 2002.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Sheets and her husband Ernie Sheets; granddaughter Brenda Frymire of Tracy, CA; grandson Steven Sheets and his wife Mandy of Covington, WA; and great-grandsons Aaron Navle and Trevor Frymire of Tracy, CA.
She spent her early years in Amber until the family moved to Cheney.
She graduated from Cheney High School in 1941.
During WWII from October of 1943 to October of 1945 while John was serving in Germany, she worked at John W. Graham Co. for five years and then at Multiple Listing Service in Spokane until 1974.
She loved collecting antiques, traveling, crocheting, gardening, and crossword puzzles.
A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 1 pm.
