Scott returns to golf today ( 11 a.m. on Golf) as the defending champion at the Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio. Still fresh in most minds is how the Australian lost a four-shot lead with four holes to play at Royal Lytham & St. Annes to lose his best shot at winning a major. Scott says while he remained numb for a few days at his home in Switzerland, his performance made him believe more than ever that he’s closing in on a major. Scott said he’s more interested in the final major next week at the PGA Championship. – AP
