LIBERTY LAKE – Oli Brown and Peter Rivera will perform at Pavillion Park, 22710 E. Country Vista Drive, on Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m. The event is part of the 2012 Liberty Lakes Friends of Pavillion Park concert series.

Co-ed soccer league seeks members for fall season

SPOKANE VALLEY – Registration is open for the Spokane Valley Soccer Co-Ed League. The league has three divisions: competitive, open and over 40.

The fall season begins Sept. 8; all games will be played at the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex, 5901 N. Assembly St.

SCOPE shred day, garage sale this Saturday

NEWMAN LAKE – The Spokane County Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort in Newman Lake will have a garage sale and shred day on Saturday at the Newman Lake Tri-City Grange, 25025 E. Heather Lane.

The garage sale will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the shred truck will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shredding is limited to three file-sized boxes per person.

Picnic Sunday for Purple Heart recipients
