New Sounders midfielder Christian Tiffert received his visa and will be available today, adding a boost to a highly anticipated rematch against the Los Angeles Galaxy ( 6 p.m. on ESPN2). The German designated player practiced Saturday after arriving in Seattle on Friday. He’s a noted assists marksman who can help the offense. He also has vast postseason experience. How much he could play against the Galaxy at CenturyLink Field is questionable. The Sounders enter the game tied for third in the West with 34 points. The team is riding a five-game (2-0-3) unbeaten streak in MLS play. But L.A. is on its own five-game streak. – Seattle Times
