Passed away July 13, 2012, at the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C. Beverly was born on January 22, 1975, in Deer Park, WA. She was the daughter of Marvin and Barbara (Halstead) Grytdal. She attended school in Chewelah and graduated from Jenkins High School. Beverly attended SCC before moving to Virginia. There, she met Joseph Gibbons; they were married in Spokane, WA, on September 7, 1997. They made their home in Salisbury, N.C. She attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College and Catawba College. She worked as a community inclusion specialist in conjunction with Smart Start Rowan and Partners in Learning Day Care; an over five year battle with leukemia forced her to stop working. She also enjoyed quilting, jewelry, and various other crafts; it was told she could make anything out of a cardboard box. Beverly will be remembered for her big smile, quick wit, sense of humor and her deep faith in her savior Jesus Christ. Beverly is survived by her husband, Joseph Gibbons; two sons, Dante and Christian of Salisbury, NC; parents, Barbara Harvey and husband, Steve of Staunton, VA, and Marvin Grytdal and wife, Melody of Spokane: three brothers, Brian (Melissa), Eric (Lana) and Mike Grytdal and their families all of Spokane; step-siblings, Amie Shields, Michael Harvey, and Krysta Swope; grandparents, Cliff and Fern Halstead of Spokane; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held for Beverly on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 11:00am, at the Foothills Community Church, 11102 N. Forker Rd, Spokane, WA.
