Donna was born April 2, 1948 in Wenatchee, WA and joined her Lord in Heaven on July 24, 2012.

She attended Rogers H.S.

in Spokane, Riverside College in California, (she was honored as the Woman of Distinction).

She received her degree in Elementary Education from EWU where she was a loyal member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.

She earned her Masters in Administration from the University of Idaho.

Donna taught in the Nine Mile School District, District 81 and was principal at Wilbur Washington Elementary School.

Donna and her husband were the founders of Hope Chest Ministry, aiding women and children.
Donna was a very talented musician, performing with the U.S.O.

group in Asia and serving as organist in a number of churches.

Her family remembers many weddings, funerals and wonderful sing-a- longs with Donna and her husband at the piano and organ.

She could play anything!
Donna is survived by Bill, her husband of 39 years, her sisters: Leilani Ellingsen (Dr. Don) and Gina Elston (Bill), and her beloved nieces and nephews.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Washington State School Retirees Foundation Scholarship Fund (for college bound education majors) at 4726 Pacific Ave., S.E., Lacey, WA 98503-1216.


A Memorial Service will be held at “One” Church, 24th and Sullivan, Spokane Valley on Wednesday, August 8th at 1 pm.
