SCHWAHN, Donna Jane
(Age 78)

Passed away August 2, 2012 in Spokane Valley, WA with her husband by her side.

She was born November 23, 1933 in Killdeer, ND to Christ and Rose Boehm.

Donna attended Boehm Grade School and graduated from Killdeer High School.

She married Virgil Schwahn on October 3, 1952 in Missoula, MT.

Donna and Virgil were inseparable, never spending a night apart until her recent hospital stays.

She worked at the Bank of Killdeer, Appleway Auto Group and her family’s body shop, working alongside her husband.

Donna enjoyed bicycles, gardening, cleaning and walking.

She was famous for her cooking, especially her baked beans and brownies.

Donna loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil Schwahn, whom she was married to for just shy of 60 years; her son, Kevin (Sue) Schwahn of Coeur d’Alene, ID; her sisters, Delores (Kenny) Schwahn of Spokane, Shirley (Dale) Dolezal of ND and Rosie (Bill) Summers of Federal Way, WA; her brother, Donald Boehm of ND; her grandkids, (who knew and loved her as “Nana”), Brandi Rockstrom of Spokane and Shelby (Curtis) King of Mullan, ID as well as her great-grandkids, (also known to them as their “Nana”) Austin, Alexus, Dylan and Wyett and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Betty Boehm and brother-in-law, Leo Schwahn.

There will be a celebration of Donna’s life Sunday, August 26, 2012 at noon, at Valley Mission Park.
