Age 67

WILLIAMS, Dennis Terry
(Age 67)

Passed away peacefully July 21, 2012 in Post Falls, ID at the N. Idaho Advanced Care Hospital with his siblings at his side.

Dennis was born in Wilbur, WA July 7, 1945 to Danny and Frankie Williams.

He was the third of four children.

Dennis grew up on the family farm north of Almira, WA and graduated from Almira High School in 1963.

In High School he was very active in sports, helped on the family farm and made many life long friends.

In his younger days Dennis enjoyed working on cars, engines and motor cycles.

He attended Big Bend Community College where he took the first classes to be offered in flight training to become a pilot.

In that respect he followed in his dad’s footstep who was a “Flying Farmer”.

After getting his pilot license, Dennis worked for a short time as a commercial pilot flying charter flights and a flight instructor giving flying lessons.

After health issues cut his flying career short he returned to Almira where he became skilled at building model airplanes and cars.

He also enjoyed his beautiful dogs and many friends.

After his parents passed on he moved to live in Spokane.

There he enjoyed going on walks, going to McDonald’s for a coke and burger, his dogs, keeping his pickup in top running condition, driving to Almira and stopping at the Billy Burger on the way back to Spokane, going to Felts Field and Spokane airport to watch the airplanes, fishing and most of all seeing and visiting with family and friends, especially his life long friend Gail Bishop.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, “Frankie”; father, “Danny”; sister-in-law, “Marilyn”; nephew, “Brian”; and brother-in-law, “Walt”.

He is survived by his brothers, Harvey and David (Peg) and sister, Elaine.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.

Dennis always had the Williams smile, strong hand grip and made friends easily.

He had an excellent memory for remembering family birthdays, anniversaries, and friends and could recall events and his cars during his younger years like they had just happened yesterday.
There will be a Memorial Service for Dennis in Almira, Washington on September 15, 2012, time TBD.

Remembrances can be made to any animal rescue organization of your choice in Dennis’ name.
