Announced South Carolina quarterback Tanner McEvoy has decided to transfer, less than two weeks after his arrest in North Carolina. Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier announced McEvoy’s decision Tuesday. McEvoy, a redshirt freshman, was not at South Carolina’s practice earlier Tuesday. Pleaded Suspended University of Montana quarterback Jordan Johnson pleaded not guilty to raping a woman earlier this year after she invited him to her room to watch a movie.

• Ex-Minnesota Viking Michael Bennett pleaded guilty to his role in a South Florida tax refund and identity theft scheme. Court records show Bennett pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud.
