Gonzaga’s game at Butler will showcase ‘GameDay’
Gonzaga’s men’s basketball team will be the showcase event of ESPN’s “College GameDay” on Jan. 19, when the Bulldogs play Butler in Indianapolis. The Bulldogs hosted “College GameDay” in 2005, against Stanford, and in 2009, against Memphis.
Baseball
Gonzaga junior-to-be Kenny Smith earned the Horizon Air Summer Series Pitcher of the Year Award. Smith had a 6-1 record with a 1.29 ERA for the Humboldt Crabs of the Far West League.
Golf
Washington senior-to-be Chris Williams (Moscow High) regained his No. 1 spot in the World Amateur Golf Rankings after winning stroke play and match play …
