MOHR, Carrie
(Olson)
(Age 83)

Died at Meadowlark Hill Therapy Center in Manhattan, Kansas with her husband Bob, of 60 years, by her side.

Born in Kettle Falls, Washington, Carrie atten-ded Malo Grade School and graduated from Curlew High School in 1946 followed by a year at Whitworth College.

She was preceded in death by her parents David and Agnes Olson and her brothers Lee and Arthur.

Survivors include sons Robert Mohr, wife Elaine of Manhattan, Kansas and granddaughter Amelia of Omaha, Nebraska; Dr. Tom Mohr, wife Lisa and grandchildren Michelle, Garret, Erik and Patrick of San Marino, California; and Andrew Mohr, wife Bryn and granddaughter Isabel of Newport Beach, California.

Carrie attended Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles and worked in the display department of the Bon Marche (now Macy’s) in Spokane, where she later met Bob.

She went on to become the display director for a department store in Southern California and continued her interest in graphic art for many years by creating murals and advertising art and as a member of the Manhattan Watercolor Studio.

Family, friends and relatives enjoyed receiving her creative, handmade cards throughout her life.

She will especially be remembered for her sense of humor.

A memorial gathering with the family will be held in San Marino, Calif. on August 18 and a like gathering will be held in Manhattan later this Fall.
