(Age 71)

Passed away peacefully, August 7, 2012 in Chewelah, Washington, after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Michael was born on October 12, 1940 in Otis Orchards, Washington.

He was the third youngest of ten children born to Richard B. and Grace (Bacon) Anderson.


Mike attended Central Valley High School before becoming a licensed plumber which was his chosen field for over 40 years.

Mike married the love of his life Carol Leidenheimer on May 13th 1972 and moved to Chewelah shortly thereafter were they raised their three children Lori, Larry and Noelle.

“Big Mike”, as he was known to co-workers, was an employee for Apollo/Celestial Homes of Chewelah prior to working for Servco Plumbing for more than 32 years.


Mike was a great fan of almost all sports especially his beloved Yankees and played softball and football in his younger days.

Nothing however was more important to him than his wife, children and grandchildren.


Mike is survived by his loving wife, Carol; son, Larry; daughters, Lori (Dan) and Noelle (Chuck); brothers, Bill and Butch; sisters, Laura, Linda and Lola; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.


There will be a potluck memorial for Mike at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Chewelah American Legion for all who wish to remember “Big Mike” fondly.

Memorial contributions may be given the American Cancer Society.
