Jobs, Mr. Mayor?

I chuckle when I read articles about how Spokane’s tea party mayor is currently off on a trip for his finalists for police chief, even though it was recommended to start the search over, as none were a good fit, or had “baggage.”

But, as shown across the country, tea partyers claim to have a “mandate,” and it’s “their way or the highway.” Where’s the jobs, Mr. Mayor?

ABC News reported a couple months ago that 2 million jobs are coming back from China, and cities and states across the country are clamoring to land those new factories. Where’s the jobs, Mr. Tea Party Mayor?

He should be landing at least two factories a year in Spokane, with at least 500 employees each. He should be courting Boeing, Microsoft and other Puget Sound businesses to expand here.

Where are the jobs; that is your mandate.
