BILL, Lila J.
(Johnson)
(Age 72)

Born August 23, 1939 in Twisp, Washington and resided in Spokane, Washington with her family until her death on August 13, 2012.

Lila was preceded in death by her loving parents Herbert and Bernice Johnson and brother Dale.

Spending the first twelve years of her life growing up in Twisp the family moved to Spokane in 1950.
Lila was a graduate of North Central High School, Class of 1958.

She soon married Martin F. Bill of Spokane.

They were married for 43 years.

Lila was the loving mother of twin boys, Martin L. Bill (Kristen), Mark H. Bill (Gina) and two years later Michael B.

Bill (Kimberly Achenbaugh) all of Spokane Valley.

Lila was the perfect role model of motherhood.

She took care of everyone and loved mothering anyone in need.

Lila provided childcare to many of her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

She was a loving, caring, giving and God-fearing woman.
Lila worked outside the home as an elevator operator at the old Fernwell - Hutton Building in downtown Spokane.

She later worked for Medco Medical Supply in Millwood close by their family home.

Lila loved meeting people and getting to know anyone she could interact with so she then served over 20 years with 7-Eleven, Inc. working with the public in various stores in the Spokane area.

She was a saleswoman at heart and loved to please her customers.

Everyone she touched she loved.
Lila was all about family.

She loved vacation time and traditional holiday events.

She cherished so many summer outings on Priest Lake, Kalispell Island - North Cove.

They went camping with the kids and extended family building lifelong memories for everyone.

Lila enjoyed taking the grandchildren to Disneyland and many memorable trips with her sister, Kandy.
Proudly, Lila and Kandy were season ticket holders for the Seattle Seahawks for 15 years.

Lila loved her Hawks.

She and Kandy never missed a home game and were the best fans the Hawks ever had.


Lila is survived by her caring and supportive brothers and sister, E. Jerry Johnson (Murielle) of St. Maries, Idaho, Merle Johnson (Connie) of Spokane, Bernie Johnson, Spokane, and her dear baby sister, Kandy Johnson of Spokane.
Six grandchildren were blessed by Lila: Glen C. Bill; Christopher M. Bill of Spokane; Angelina Bill Newton (Jordan) of Salem, Oregon; Justin Bill, Spokane; Danyel L. Bill, Spokane; and Tye M. Bill of Salem, Oregon.

She had one great-granddaughter, Melissa.
A celebration of life will be held August 18, 2012 at 11 AM at the Spokane Events & Catering, 10512 East Sprague, Spokane Valley.
