WAHL,
Gary Lenard
Died at the age of 59 on Monday, August 13th, 2012 at his home on the farm. He was born on Father’s Day, June 21st, 1953 to Lenard and Ava Wahl in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He married his high school sweetheart Jan Tilton on November 2nd, 1974. The couple raised their children on the family homestead in Lind, WA. Gary worked with his dad on the family farm until he took over operations from his father in 1993 and continued to farm until his death. Husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, family and friend; Gary was different things to many different people, but is loved and remembered by all. His fun-loving personality lit up every room. He loved snowmobiling, golfing, riding four-wheelers, working the drag races, and fishing. He had a passion for wheat farming and always liked talking “shop”. As an active member of the Lind Lions Club, he enjoyed helping with community events. Later in life he spent his free time at his property on Lake Roosevelt enjoying special time with family and friends. Much more could be said. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. He is preceded in death by his father Lenard Wahl in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Jan Wahl of Lind, WA, his son Andy Wahl of Spokane Valley, WA, his daughter Christi (Eric) Dahl of Spokane, WA, one granddaughter, Vera Dahl, his mother, Ava Wahl of Lind, WA, his sisters Linda (Doug) Borth of Walla Walla, WA, Bonnie (Dale) Grams of Ritzville, WA, Patti Schilling of Spokane Valley, WA and many nieces and nephews. If you would like to donate, a memorial can be made to the American Heart Association or a memorial of your choice. DANEKAS FUNERAL HOME-RITZVILLE is entrusted with arrangements.
